The Worldtrade Management Services (WMS) team advises a broad range of clients on customs and international trade regulatory issues. The international trade environment in Asia, with its varying trade rules, regulations and compliance requirements presents an exciting and challenging career opportunity that offers great cross-border exposure.
We have established a Global Classification Center of Excellence in Manila, Philippines and are looking for experienced classification consultants and managers to help us grow our classification (HTS and ECCN) outsourcing business.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and services to our clients on day to day operations such as Classification, Free Trade Agreement Operations, Post Entry review
- Have strong technical classification experience and able to help us grow our classification (HTS and ECCN) outsourcing business. Able to both lead experienced delivery staff as well as train new staff. Process relevant experience and are comfortable classifying such items as: auto parts, electronics, machinery & equipment, consumer products etc.
- Ability to operate in a high-volume, fast-turnaround environment with a strong focus on both customer responsiveness and providing reasonable defendable classifications
- Necessary skills include the abilities to efficient collect, organize and analyze data, effectively prioritize tasks, and take ownership of projects. Ideal candidates will be comfortable and cooperative in growing the team environment.
Requirements:
- Reside in Manila or open to relocation
- Manager Candidates should have 3 to 7 years of customs classification experience, and be comfortable in both a supervisory and training role
- Consultant Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of customs classification experience and be looking to grow quickly
- Bachelors' degree is required
- Strong understanding of HTS Classification methodology and processes
- Strong PC skills (MS Office suite) required
- Automotive, Electronic or Mechanical background is a plus.
- ECCN knowledge is a plus
- Customs Broker’s License and/or other relevant accreditations are pluses
