Nitin is a Partner in the Customs and Indirect tax practice of PwC India. He is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 15 years of experience in customs and Indirect taxes. Nitin is involved in various industry trade associations, e.g. CII, Assocham, IMA, ACMA etc. where he is a regular speaker. He has also authored various articles on customs and indirect tax issues.
He has assisted clients in setting up processes and documentation, to ensure compliance with international trade and customs rules as well as under India’s Foreign Trade Policy. Nitin has assisted clients in handling customs disputes and representing matters before Indian customs authorities.
Nitin has provided support to various clients as well as the wider PwC network on various customs issues involving classification, valuation, export control matters, and availability of concessions under FTAs and various export incentives under Foreign Trade Policy. Assignments related to Customs and Foreign Trade Policy involved analysis of origin conditions and structuring of the supply chain to optimise overall customs duty incidence and maximise incentives and refunds.
Nitin has also assisted clients on export and import control measures involving SCOMET matters, export incentives under Foreign Trade Policy and Indian Customs Regulations, supply chain models in free trade warehouse zones, obtaining AEO certification.
